"THE LEGEND" The adventurers'
base and refuge amongst the northern traditions and culture
A culture rich in architectural design, paintings and pottery, history
reaches back to the 7th century and a people that(to this day carry the
grace and charms most closely associated with Thailand) are the
inspiration for the "The Legend"
Situated on the banks of the Mae Kok River, The Legend is just a
rickshaw ride away from Chiang Rai in the heart of the Golden Triangle.
Contemporary Lanna style underpins the carefully crafted resort built
into the gentle slopes above and over the river.
Seminar / Multipurpose area
An ideal venue to hold a wedding, family or business function.
Furthermore, it is just the right size for a small corporate function or
a seminar such as a marketing or budget presentation, team building
exercise.
The Seminar room is prominently located at the river front, towards the
borderline of the property. The decor is in line with the overall design
concept of the resort. Wooden columns and flooring will give a distinct
Thai look. The river location provides a unique atmosphere, unparalleled
in Chiang Rai as of this day.
A
wide range of food, including Western and Thai is available to cater to
different markets and needs by our guests
Food & Beverage Facilities
Two restaurants offer the
delights of Northern Thai and Italian cuisine or you can simply sit at
the sunset bar on a deck over the river.
-
Italian Restaurant : 80 seat restaurant featuring a wood fired pizza
oven and a choice of salads, light pasta dishes as well as
contemporary Italian cuisine
-
Thai Restaurant : 40 seat restaurant at the river front featuring
traditional Thai cuisine, presented in a refreshing contemporary
style
-
Sunset Bar : Informal bar at the river front for cooling cocktails
and spicy snacks
The Design of Legend Chiang Rai
The resort has been designed to suit and fit
this unique environment. Emphasis is given to landscape, which as a
combination of small "klongs" and ponds together with the existing
and additional trees and plants, is not only complimenting
the contemporary Thai style buildings but takes the overwhelming
lead in the overall looks and feel of the resort.
An other important element is lighting which both on interiors and
landscape enhances the natural beauty of the development.
The main attraction, however, remains the
Mae Kok River. Hence, general view and direction of facilities is
set towards the river bank to take full advantage of this
attraction.
Not only the design, but also the
service element is unique and unconventional. Emphasis is given to
the Legend Spa which becomes a main feature of the resort.
Furthermore, the restaurant is located directly on the river bank of
Mae Kok River. Both Western and Thai Food are served.
Additional facilities include small seminar and meeting facilities
to cater to corporate needs. IT access as well as the relevant
equipment for business needs is provided. Team building as well as
business meetings for corporations and organizations can be
accommodated in the informal environment of the resort.
A contemporary Lanna design is carried through all outlets combining
wood with local bricks and hand-plastered white walls of the Legend
Chiag Rai Resort.
