Ranong
is situated in the Kra Isthmus acing Indian Ocean. It is
Thailand’s least populated province. Ranong borders The
Union of Myanmar at Victoria Point, a village famous for
Burmese gems and other local products.
Ranong covers an area of 3,298 square kilometers and divided
into 4 Amphoes and 1 King Amphoe: Muang, Kra Buri, Kapoe,
La-un, and King Amphoe Suk Samran.
Ranong is 568 kilometers south of Bangkok, traveling by
Highways No. 35 and No. 4 via Samut Sakhon, Phetchaburi,
Prachuap and Chumphon.
