History
One of Thailand’s unique icons, the “Tuk-Tuk” (coinage taken from the chugging sound of the vehicle’sengine), a symbol of Thai ingenuity, this three-wheeled motorized rickshaw can befound on almost any road in Bangkok and hasmade its presence where traffic congestion is a problem. First used in Thailand during the 1960s and has become extremely popular as a modeof transportation. It is manufactured in Chonburi province and exported abroad.
“Tuk-Tuks” are common in many other Asian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Some can be seen on the streets of China Town in London as well as other European cities, also in South American cities and . . . even in far away Kenya, Africa !!!
Starting point : The Tawana Bangkok on Surawongse Road
1st stop : Silom MRT station located at the main intersection of Rama 4
and Silom Road, across the street from Lumpini Park.
2nd stop : Saladaeng BTS station located on Silom Road, in front of
Silom Complex Shopping Center.
3rd stop : Siphaya Pier located on the bank of the
Chao Phraya River, in front of the River City Shopping Plaza.
** The “Tuk-Tuk” shuttle service is for the use of guests of The Tawana Bangkok on the assigned route ONLY (seating capacity : maximum of 4 passengers ONLY)

Cancellation and No
show Policy:

be made in written notice or email
to us with our acknowledgement
within 30 days prior to arrival
date. Otherwise, we reserve a right
to charge at least one-night room
rate per room.
- If you wish to cancel your booking
before the cancellation due date
specified in the confirmation email,
we apply a cancellation fee of up to
1,000 Baht.
