Sheraton
Grande Sukhumvit
is located on Sukhumvit
Road, Bangkok's longest boulevard, approximately 26 kilometres
from Don Muang International Airport. Just three
kilometres from the central business and shopping districts, the
Hotel provides panoramic views of the city and nearby Lake
Ratchada.
Nearby
Attractions:
The Emporium, the ultimate
shopping complex in Bangkok, housing various boutiques selling
the latest designs by internationally-renowned brand names
including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Cartier, Chanel,
Versace, Leonard Paris, etc. as well as an upmarket
department store and supermarket. (Terrific bargains for
tourists because of the Thai Baht devaluation!) There are also
restaurants serving Japanese, Chinese, Western and Thai, and
fast food outlets and mini theatres using the most up-to-date
equipment and sound system. (Five minutes by car or 15
minutes walking).
Naraiphan, located about 10
minutes away (by car) from the hotel, sells all kinds of Thai
handicrafts, jewelry, silverware, pewter, Thai silk and cotton, clothing, etc. Across from Naraiphan is the World Trade Centre,
another huge shopping
complex quite popular with residents and tourists alike.
It houses two department stores apart from many shops ranging
from clothing, jewelry, Thai silk, gift shops, record shops,
Beauty Salons, fast food outlets, etc.
The famous and sacred Erawan
Shrine, where one’s wishes allegedly often come true, is also
located next to Naraiphan.
