Pattaya is 150 Kilometers southeast of Bangkok and about 150 Kilometers from SUVARNABHUMI Airport . It is devided into 4 parts namely: North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, South Pattaya and Jomtien Beach.
 
From a small village to a major tourist resort Pattaya has certainly changed colors. At night the city comes alive and is ablaze with lights. It offers a variety of superb seafood, restaurants, opened-air bars, carbaret shows and many other interesting places near by.
 
Travelling around Pattaya is most convenient by mini-bus or hire motorcycles,jeeps or cars.
Transportation
 
By Car:
Travelling from bangkok to Pattaya will take less than 2 hours. There are two choices of going by the motorway or by the new elevated highway from bangna to Chonburi, then take the motorway. 
 
By Bus:
By 1st, Class Air Conditioned Bus (Duration 2 ? hrs)
 
Depart from the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai) to the Pattaya Bus Terminal located on North Pattaya Road, Daily at 05.00 hrs. And every 30 minutes until 23.00 hrs. / One way fare is Baht 121 net and Baht 113 net. Per person
 
Depart from the Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit) to Pattaya Bus Terminal located on the North Pattaya Road, from 04.00 hrs. And every 30 minutes until 22.00 hrs. /One way fare is Baht 121 and Baht 121net and 113 net per person
 
 
Depart from the Bus Terminal (North Pattaya) to Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai) One way: Baht 121 net and 113 net per person and to the Northern / Northeastern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit) One way fare: baht 121 net per person from 04.00 hrs. And every 30 minutes until 23.00 hrs
 
 
By Bell Transport:
 
Depart from Suvarnabhumi International Airport Bangkok to PATTAYA daily (duration 2 hrs) by Bell Travel Services from 08.00, 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00, 18.00, 19.00 hrs. One way fare is Baht 200 net
 
Depart from any other hotels in Bangkok to Pattaya daily from 09.00, 11.30, 14.30 hrs. One way fare is Baht 350 net.
 
By TAXI:
 
Individual TAXI are available for the same journey and are of many different colors look for any with sign TAXI – METER on top, and the cost from Baht 1,500 to 2,000 one way
 
By TRAIN:
 
Rail service that runs once a day connects Bangkok to Pattaya Station Departure from Hua Lamphong Railway Station, Bangkok Daily at 06.55 a.m Arriving Pattaya at 10.30 am at the cost of Baht 31 net.
Stopping at several destinations on the way, it is a pleasantly interesting journey – as it runs through the country side not seen from the road route.

By Air:
 
Currently the only scheduled flights are operated by Bangkok Airways to and from Koh Samui / and to – from Phuket at U- TAPOA Airport in Sattahip and only 40 minutes drive to Pattaya. And the rest is just the charter flights from Russia and CIS countries.
 
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION:
 
If arrived from a bus on your arrival, you can use collective pick-up taxi call “Baht – Bus” or “Songtheaw” (i.e. two –row) which should take you anywhere in town for around Baht 60 – 150 net. With in the resort, those dark-blue pick-ups continually follow the circuit made up by passing from Beach road to Walking street area and Second 2nd, road and back: fares are Baht 8 – 23 net per person per ride. 
 
If you know the your destination on this circuit, wave your hand for coming taxi to pick you up, jump on at the back and pay the fare after you alighted (press the buzzer to stop the taxi) 
 
For more independence, and explore Pattaya’s surrounding country side and beaches at leisure, motorcycles of different capacities can be hired for one day, one week or one month, Customers are advise to check around prior making a choice since different companies offers different prices and conditions (to wear the helmet is compulsory and be aware there is no insurance…)
