The general area is underdeveloped and peaceful with the only a few high-end residential villa projects sharing the beach. The resort occupies 5 acres (12 Rai) of land, with 27 villas. Most have private swimming pools, and outside areas.

The 100 meter beachfront and 50 year old trees help provide the X2 atmosphere the owners were striving to achieve, and gave designers the background on which to recreate the resort.

The resort has a unique spa, and impressive outdoor massage pavilion. The Pavilion houses only two beds and is situated on 1 acre (2.5 rai) of land ….featuring 30 meters of beachfront. This extravagant use of prime land provides an unbelievable sense of space and freedom so typical of X2.

Activities

Although the main activity at X2 resorts is simple relaxation, we do offer a number of interesting activities for those that want to do a little more than just “chill”

Mountain bike exploring:
Whether on the beach or the tracks through local villages, the relatively underdeveloped locale of the resort provides an interesting adventure in culture exploration.

Scuba and snorkelling:
Close by Koh Samui there are many good diving spots. Day trips are organised with local diving companies, and provide an interesting and enjoyable day out for those that love the water.

Yoga:
Offered as part of the Spa facility, morning and afternoon Yoga is arranged for guests.

Golf:
There are international class golf courses in the area. Games and coaching can be arranged at the request of guests.

Fishing:
Not the usual activity of most resorts, but X2 Samui is located close to a local fishing village. The fisherman offer to take guests out for an authentic evening of squid fishing the Thai way. Definitely something to write home about.

Kitesurfing:
Just a short walk up the beach is the islands main kitesurfing clinic. Lessons and equipment are easily arranged and guests can choose to either kitesurf at the clinic or closer to the resort.

Location

Koh Samui, being Thailand’s 3rd largest island is 21 kilometres at its widest point and 25 at its longest with the area encompassing about 247sqkm and is 700 km south of Bangkok in Suratthani province. Getting there is easy just a short 60 minute flight from Bangkok.
