Koh Racha Noi
Location:
This small granitic
island lies about 18
miles south of Chalong
Bay, on Phuket.
Access:
Approach from the east.
You can anchor on the
northeast side; but
live-boating is
recommended-the currents
can get quite strong and
the site is exposed to
the northerly winds,
besides the fact that it
is a long swim from any
appropriate anchorage to
the dive site.
Sea and Weather
Conditions:
Dive mainly during the
NE monsoon
(November-May), although
strong winds may come up
during early December.
With favorable weather
forecast, day-trips from
Phuket are possible
year-round.

about 13 miles south of
Chalong Bay, on Phuket,
and about 5 miles
north-northeast of Racha
Noi. The best dive site
is located approximately
midway along the eastern
side of Thailand.

trip from Phuket is
possible with weather
permitting.

King Cruiser Wreck
Location:
About 1 mile east of
Shark Point. A mooring
buoy is sometimes
attached to the wreck,
which can be seen from
the surface.
Access:
Tie off the mooring, if
it is there. Anchoring
is possible away from
the wreck. Dive during
Nov-May. Strong wind may
come during early Dec. A
day trip from Phuket is
possible with weather
permitting.
