Thongsala is a hub of Koh Phangan. Located is the Ferry pier from Koh Samui, speed boat, bus station from Suratthani. There are also shops, bars, restaurants, medical clinics, banks, post office, etc.  Thongsala is the centre of Songkran (water) festival for both Thais and foreign tourists.
