Wat Hat Yai Nai
The reclining Phra Phuttha Hattha Mongkhon is
said to be the third largest in the world.This statue is 35 meters long, 15 meters high and
10 meters wide.Many faithful Buddhists from Hat Yai, Yala, Pattani and
Bangkok as well as pious visitors from Malaysia and
Singapore frequent this shrine.
Wat Tham Khao Rup Chang|
The Mahayana shrine is
located in a cave in Khao Rup Chang.The cavern houses various statues of the Buddha
and Chao Mae Kuan Im.In some places, the stalactites and stalagmites
have been decorated with twinkling lights.In this cool and peaceful temple centain rules
are kept strictly; for instance, no killing, theft, nor
entertainments are allowed.All meals served in the temple must vegetarian.The temple is open from 06.00 am. – 06.00 pm.

A border pass can be applied for at Sadao
checkpoint, 60 kilometers from Hat Yai, to enter
Malaysia’s Padang Besar Market.Prior price checking is recommended.
