The picturesque old capital town is worth of visiting for a glimpse into the island's past. The district capital, Ban Koh Lanta, towards the South of the east coast, boasts a post office, long pier and fairly solid-looking buildings. Since 1900, this official office hs been a small blue wooden building. Even now its function was actually transferred to Koh Lanta Noi, the building is currently health care center. Not far from the building, there are concrete bridge and wooden bridge parallel, at this place you can see Koh Po, Koh Boom called "Blue Pearl of Koh Lanta". Long-tailed boats are available for rent.
