Making a Pilgrimage to the Buddha’s Footprint Tradition
This tradition is usually held from Chinese New Year’s Day to
the month of the Magha Bucha Day ( January- March ) at Khao
Khitchakut. In the past, Buddhists walked approximately 15
kilometres to make a pilgrimage to the Buddha’s footprint at
the peak. They believed that they would receive a great
virtue. Although there is a service bus now, people still
believe in this tradition.
